Solicitor Regulatory

Leading Manchester based law firm has an opportunity for a talented Solicitor to join their well regarded Regulatory team to manage a diverse caseload, working closely with their Commercial Road Transport team. This role would someone in the NQ to 2 years PQE range.

Key responsibilities include:

• Transport-related land management, parking compliance, and enforcement
• Government and stakeholder engagement, lobbying, and international advisory
• Trade association membership advice
• Regulatory compliance and investigation defense
• Data protection compliance and advice
• Corporate to consumer protection
• Product safety and compliance
• Sports management and brand protection
• Reputation and media management
• Supply chain litigation and judicial review

Key Responsibilities

• Provide sector-based regulatory compliance and litigation defense
• Assist with Traffic Commissioner licensing, Public Inquiry hearings, and Border Force appeals
• Engage with clients on litigation and compliance options
• Prepare for Judicial Reviews and assist with government lobbying
• Take detailed client meeting notes and manage follow-up tasks
• Assist with Data Protection Officer duties and ICO liaison
• Prepare planning permissions and advertising consent applications
• Handle and convert new client inquiries
• Support trade associations with legal issues

Person Specification

• Qualified Solicitor (NQ level to 2 years PQE) or due to qualify with an interest in regulatory law
• Genuine interest in regulatory law and willingness to learn
• Personable and client-oriented
• Excellent written communication skills
• Adaptable and responsible
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Experience in Regulatory and/or Litigation law preferred but not essential
