Sutton Coldfield Hybrid (3 Days WFH Once Established)

A boutique, high-net-worth financial planning firm in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a high-calibre Technical Paraplanner to join their respected and close-knit team. This is a role for someone who takes pride in technical excellence and enjoys working within a firm where quality advice and client care come first.

The Role

You’ll work directly alongside highly qualified advisers, supporting complex planning across pensions, investments, tax and estate planning. The position offers deep client exposure and involvement in sophisticated cases, making it ideal for someone who wants to build mastery in paraplanning rather than rush towards advising.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce bespoke, compliant suitability reports for high-net-worth clients

• Conduct detailed technical research across all advice areas

• Build and maintain accurate cashflow models

• Prepare technical summaries and meeting packs

• Maintain close communication with advisers and providers

• Support the delivery of high-quality, personalised financial strategies

What They’re Looking For

• Experienced paraplanner with strong technical grounding

• Level 4 Diploma qualified minimum

• Someone who wants to be a paraplanner, not an adviser in the short term

  • Happy to consider candidates open to advising longer-term (around a 5-year horizon)

• High attention to detail and comfort handling complex HNW cases

• Professional, articulate and collaborative

Hybrid & Working Environment

• Hybrid working offered after you’ve settled in – 3 days per week from home

• Supportive, high-quality environment with exposure to complex technical work

• Advisers are happy to authorise paraplanners due to the level of client contact

Salary & Benefits

• £40,000–£60,000 depending on experience and capability

• 25 days holiday, rising by 1 day each year up to 30

• Pension: 3% employer, increasing to 5% after 5 years

• Private medical insurance after 6-month probation (family can be added)

• Death in Service: 4x salary

• Office closed between Christmas and New Year

• Long-term development and full exam support available
