About the Role
Working within a collaborative and client-focused environment, the Technical Consultant will respond to queries from advisers and paraplanners across a range of tax areas, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and their application to investment products, particularly pensions.
This is a varied role that involves providing technical guidance, supporting client firms with accurate and accessible advice, and contributing to the development of internal and client-facing training materials. There is scope for involvement in delivering technical training for those with the interest or experience.
Key Responsibilities

Responding to technical tax and pension queries from clients via email and phone.

Participating in team meetings and collaborating with other internal teams to enhance client outcomes.

Staying up to date with technical and regulatory developments.

Contributing to technical guidance and support material for internal and client use.
About You

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services, ideally with recent experience in a technical, management or supervisory capacity.

Strong knowledge of UK taxation relevant to financial planning, including IHT, CGT, chargeable event gains, and pension tax rules.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and confidently.

Comfortable working both independently and within a team.

Ideally Level 4 Diploma qualified (DipPFS or equivalent).

A proactive mindset and a genuine interest in technical development and training.
