Paraplanner – Full-Time

About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Paraplanner to join a small, friendly financial planning team. The ideal candidate will be Diploma qualified (Dip PFS) or qualified by experience and eager to further their development, either as a career Paraplanner or with ambitions to progress into advising in the future.

Working primarily from the office, you will support the delivery of exceptional service to clients, performing tasks including technical research, cash flow modelling, report writing, producing recommendations, and assisting in implementing clients’ financial goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for and attend client meetings alongside Financial Planners, developing strong client relationships and acting as first point of contact for queries.

  • Conduct technical research, produce financial planning recommendations, and support solution implementation.

  • Analyse client portfolios, perform benchmarking, rebalancing, and ongoing portfolio maintenance.

  • Prepare cash flow analyses using financial planning software (e.g., Voyant).

  • Liaise with product providers and third parties as required.

  • Delegate tasks to the administrative support team, ensuring the highest levels of client service.

  • Lead team meetings and contribute to business best practices.

  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance standards are met.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 18 months experience in a similar role.

  • Diploma in Financial Planning (Dip PFS) highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of all areas of financial planning, including investments, pensions, taxation, protection, and estate planning.

  • Strong relationship-building skills, collaborative team player, and customer-centric approach.

  • Strong analytical, technological, and numerical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage workflow effectively.

  • Experience or interest in cash flow modelling (Voyant) preferred.

  • Experience with complex financial planning or high-net-worth clients is advantageous.
