Junior Paraplanner – Financial Services
Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Paraplanner to support the paraplanning team by conducting research, preparing basic reports, and liaising with Advisers and Client Support staff. The role ensures that all files submitted are accurate and actionable, enabling the completion of more complex suitability reports efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Analyse client information and conduct research for basic reports.

Perform basic tax calculations to support the paraplanning team.

Draft basic suitability reports and thoroughly review submitted files, identifying any items requiring remedial action.

Liaise with advisers and client support on queries regarding client objectives, advice goals, unclear matters, exceptions, or client charters.

Prepare summary submission notes and instructions for paraplanners, ensuring projections and advice charges are correctly documented.

Prepare specialist quotations, e.g., annuity or protection comparisons.

Ensure adherence to documented processes and data quality standards, updating electronic client files accurately and promptly.

Build strong, collaborative working relationships with advisory, client support, and paraplanning teams.

Keep industry knowledge, product expertise, and understanding of company processes up to date.

Undertake additional tasks to support business or departmental objectives as required.

Adhere to consumer duty and highlight opportunities for improving TCF/RCR practices within the department.

Maintain high standards of performance, demonstrating attention to detail, proactivity, and professional conduct.
Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial services or a similar administrative environment.

Working towards Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning or QCF Level 4 equivalent, with at least 2 exams completed.

Experience with financial services IT systems; familiarity with Intelligent Office is advantageous.

Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
