Role: Interim Head of Knowledge and Information Management

Minimum requirement:
- Active SC Clearance
- Experience in leading a team of specialists in KIM, in a complex organisation and in an uncertain and fast changing environment. Developing strategic plans, prioritising and directing team-led activities, building a common direction
- Experience in influencing and decision making up to Board level in connection with KIM or data governance related initiatives affecting multiple areas of the organisation
- Evidence of effective collaborative working and communication skills to build and maintain networks and communities, bringing people together to achieve shared common objectives
- Experience in directing activities to evolve and mature how knowledge, information and data assets are identified and managed, working with others to influence, enable and support business aims
- Evidence of working autonomously at pace to solve problems and address risks and issues
Desirable:
- Experience in acting as a DRO or a similar role responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation
- Experience in working with ISO standards in relation to knowledge and information management
- Experience in setting up and facilitating Communities of Practice or similar forums for specialist practitioners to drive peer learning and knowledge sharing and to solve complex business problems.
- Experience in working with data governance frameworks and/or data management best practice such as DAMA-UK
- An understanding of the challenges of managing weather and climate (environmental science) data
