Head of Integration – Financial Services

Location: UK-wide travel required (base location flexible)

An established and fast?growing financial services group is seeking an experienced Head of Integration to lead the successful onboarding and alignment of newly acquired businesses. This is a pivotal role within a multi?site organisation undergoing significant expansion, offering the opportunity to shape and evolve the entire integration function.

If you have a strong background in complex business integrations, M&A activity, and operational leadership within the IFA or wider financial services sector, this role offers a rare chance to drive strategic impact at group level.
 

The Role

As Head of Integration, you will take ownership of the end?to?end integration process for acquired firms, ensuring smooth transitions, cultural alignment, and long?term value creation. You’ll lead a dedicated integration team, refine and implement integration frameworks, and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

This is a hands?on, influential position requiring excellent communication skills, strong operational discipline, and the ability to bring people on the journey through periods of change.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full integration lifecycle for acquired businesses across multiple sites
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the integration team
  • Build, refine, and implement integration frameworks, playbooks, KPIs, and tracking tools
  • Work closely with M&A teams, senior leadership, and functional heads to ensure seamless transitions
  • Identify integration risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Drive post?acquisition value through operational efficiencies and synergy realisation
  • Ensure cultural alignment and support change management across all levels
  • Produce clear reporting on integration progress, outcomes, and lessons learned
  • Travel regularly to offices and acquired sites across the UK

About You

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Proven experience leading complex business integrations, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment
  • Background working in multi?office or multi?site organisations
  • Strong understanding of M&A processes and post?merger integration
  • Experience managing cross?functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Skilled in developing and implementing integration frameworks and KPIs
  • Previous exposure to the IFA market or provider platforms is highly desirable
