Recruiter Managing This Role

Adviser Support / Trainee IFA – Dedham Vale
Location: Dedham – Office based
Salary: £28,000 + Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

This is a rare opportunity to work one-to-one with an experienced Financial Adviser who is looking for a driven, all-round support to become their “right-hand person.”

You’ll be joining a small but focused office environment, supporting a self-employed adviser across everything from research and admin, to client liaison and diary management. The role would suit someone business-minded, highly organised, and keen to learn the ropes with a view to becoming an adviser themselves in the future.

The long-term plan is for you to develop into a fully qualified Financial Adviser over the next 3–5 years, with the potential to take on some client relationships as the business continues to grow.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Conducting pension, investment and protection research
  • Preparing discussion documents for adviser/client meetings
  • Helping manage the pre-submission process and writing suitability reports
  • Coordinating the adviser’s diary and arranging annual reviews
  • Managing the back-office system
  • Being the point of contact for client queries
  • Meeting and greeting clients at the office

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone confident working independently and using their initiative
  • A natural problem-solver with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable with numbers and financial data
  • Excellent communication and telephone manner
  • Willingness to muck in and support wherever needed
  • A genuine desire to learn and build a long-term career in financial planning

Ideal qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths grade A or B (essential)
  • Strong A-levels or a degree in a numerate or science-based subject (preferred)
  • CII exams completed or in progress (ideal but not essential)

You must be able to drive, as the office is located in a rural area with no public transport links.

If you’re proactive, ambitious and ready to build a career in financial advice, we’d love to hear from you.
