Our Heat Heroes for January 2023

A new format for a new year: introducing our Heat Heroes for January 2023.

After the success of our Heat Heroes initiative last year, it was a no-brainer that the awards would continue into 2023. Giving everyone across the business the opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated by their colleagues fosters a positive environment where individuals are encouraged to recognise the efforts, whether big or small, to make life at Heat that bit better for everyone.

But a new year has called for a new format: instead of having a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, we are instead having one winner each month plus 2 runners-up, as well as a Heat Champion for the quarter. More than this, the voting system has been redesigned so that voting is continuous, meaning that staff are able to vote throughout the month and quarter multiple times, meaning small actions will never go unnoticed.

So, without further ado, we’re proud to introduce our first Heat Hero and runners-up for 2023.

Runner Up: Scott Norton-Ashley

This individual was nominated, as he smashed his targets this month, and has also been a great help to the newer team members on his desk this month. He has “shown drive and determination to succeed, has helped people on the team and stays positive!” He is fun and positive and consistently aims to deliver. Congratulations to Scott Norton-Ashley!

Runner Up: Alice Woodruff

Alice was nominated by her colleagues as she has had “a great start to the year, is good fun to be around and helps others.” She is setting the example on the Financial Services desk,  and it seems that “things are really coming together for her this year, and 2023 is set up to be a fantastic one for her.” Her colleagues have also described her as an “all round lovely person.” Congratulations to Alice Woodruff!

January Winner: Holly Dixon

Our winner for January has been described as “a fantastic help – she’s been checking in on me on a regular basis to see that I am on the right track. She is always willing to help me out when I’m stuck and is so encouraging. I feel very lucky to get to work with her.” She has recently dedicated a lot of time, effort and help to trainees within the Insurance division, is an amazing example of team first, excellence and partnership. One colleague described her as “resilient and hard working, an excellent team player who has had a great start to 2023 and really helped the team get off the starting block,” as well as being “an incredible asset to our team and everyone that comes in to contact within the business – she is always smiling and happy to help anyone.”

Huge congratulations to our winner for January 2023, Holly Dixon!
