Introducing: Heat Heroes for January 2022

Here at Heat, we talk a lot about being a values-led business. It’s something that’s incredibly important to us as, and something we want to focus more intently on in this year and beyond. In order to do this, we’ve decided to come up with a way to celebrate those people within our business whose behaviours and actions help us to achieve this goal. Each month, we will be awarding our ‘Heat Hero’ trophy to a standout individual who champions our core values: Fun, Passion, Integrity, Partnerships and Excellence, and behaviours: hard work, team first and growth mindset.

We opened up nominations to the entire business, giving everyone the chance to nominate a colleague who they believe has gone above and beyond to improve life at Heat, or that of their clients and candidates. It might have been something small that made a big difference, or a big gesture that impacted lots of people. The response to the idea was absolutely phenomenal, and in less than a week we had 47 nominations come in across the entire business, making it a difficult job to select just one winner and 2 runners up. But, after much deliberation, we can proudly present our Heat Heroes for January 2022:

3rd Place

This individual actively approached our HR department to assist in reviewing our employee wellbeing offering for the entire business and offered to become a wellbeing champion. They are completely selfless and embodies the ‘team first’ behaviour in everything he does. He has shown that he is determined to support his colleagues and help to improve people’s lives through work. A warm congratulations to our 3rd Place Heat Hero, Ben Pope.

2nd Place

This individual joined Heat just before the pandemic hit, and in a very short space of time has made a huge impact on the business. She is an incredible team member who is always helpful and supportive and is willing to take the time to walk through an issue or assist with questions when required. She works unbelievably hard, demonstrates a positive attitude at all times and was described in her nominations as an ‘unsung hero’. Congratulations to our 2nd place Hero, Emma Latchem.

1st Place

This individual has a total of 7 glowing nominations from their colleagues, and it’s easy to see why: he has had a brilliant start to the year, and it is his passion for his vertical that has allowed him to excel. He has consulted his clients and candidates with confidence and clarity and is setting the standard of achievement we are aspiring to. He has shown a real growth mindset since coming back in the new year and is focussed on progression. He definitely knows how to have fun and is an all-round excellent colleague who epitomises all of the values of the business. A huge congratulations to our winner of the Heat Heroes award for January 2022, Charlie Harrison.

A massive congratulations and a thank you to all of our winners for going above and beyond to make Heat a brilliant place to work and for setting the bar so high. We will be celebrating our next set of Heat Heroes at the end of February so watch this space!
