Client Manager – Financial Planning

Location: Cheshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and client-focused Client Manager to join a highly regarded Chartered Financial Planning firm. The successful individual will play a key role in supporting Financial Planners, developing client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial advice and service.

The Role

As a Client Manager, you’ll work closely with Financial Planners to deliver an exceptional client experience. This will include attending meetings, supporting in the preparation of recommendations, and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the advice journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend client meetings with Financial Planners and produce accurate meeting notes to document financial needs and objectives.

  • Maintain regular communication with clients, managing queries and arranging review meetings.

  • Assist in developing and implementing financial strategies tailored to clients’ goals.

  • Research and analyse financial products and services, presenting appropriate solutions to the Financial Planner.

  • Prepare clear and compliant investment strategy and recommendation reports.

  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and ensure any agreed recommendations are implemented promptly.

  • Utilise financial planning tools and platforms such as FE Analytics, O&M, Voyant, Papercloud, and Nucleus.

  • Stay up to date with industry, compliance, and regulatory changes, working in line with Consumer Duty principles.

About You

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII or equivalent) is essential.

  • Strong technical knowledge across investments, pensions, and protection.

  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented, organised, and confident working closely with clients and advisers.

  • Experience within a Chartered or independent financial planning environment is preferred.
