Newcastle
Job Title: Paraplanner / IFA Administrator
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Overview:
This is a hybrid position for someone who understands the mechanics of financial planning and can operate at pace. You’ll be the operational backbone of a well-regarded financial planning firm, supporting high-performing advisers while handling both client servicing and technical case preparation.
If you’re stuck in a purely administrative position and looking for more involvement in the advice process, or you’re a paraplanner who’s lost in excessive report writing with no client context, this hybrid role will give you proper ownership of the workflow and closer alignment with the advice outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Liaising directly with clients to gather information and manage expectations
-
Preparing and maintaining client files, ensuring regulatory accuracy
-
Assisting in preparing suitability reports and recommendation documentation
-
Running research reports (platforms, providers, funds, product comparisons)
-
Coordinating applications, chasing providers and managing pipelines
-
Collaborating with advisers to drive cases forward without friction or delay
-
Maintaining back-office systems with precision and speed
What You’ll Need:
-
Previous experience in financial planning, ideally across both admin and paraplanning
-
Confidence using financial platforms and CRM systems
-
A basic understanding of FCA compliance requirements
-
Working knowledge of pensions, investments, and protection products
-
Progression with CII exams (or similar) is advantageous but not mandatory
-
Initiative, commercial awareness, and a problem-solving mindset
What You’ll Get:
-
A balanced role that respects both technical capability and delivery efficiency
-
Clear progression routes into full paraplanning or client-facing advice roles
-
Competitive salary between £25,000 and £35,000 depending on experience
-
Support with professional qualifications
-
A team culture that values accuracy, pace, and low-ego collaboration
