My client, a leading provider of compliance services to financial services firms, is seeking a proactive Compliance Consultant / Trainer to join their expert team based in Manchester. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a varied workload, combining in-depth technical guidance with hands-on training to help clients build robust and efficient compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing expert technical compliance support to a wide range of financial services clients.

• Designing and delivering engaging training sessions for client staff on compliance best practices, regulatory updates, and new processes.

• Assisting clients in the setup and implementation of compliant and efficient operational processes and internal controls.

• Conducting gap analysis and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement within client firms.

• Developing bespoke compliance solutions tailored to individual client needs.

• Staying abreast of all relevant regulatory changes (e.g., FCA rules, Consumer Duty) and communicating their implications to clients.

• Building strong, lasting relationships with client stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

• Solid experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry.

• A proven ability to understand, interpret, and apply complex regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA Handbook).

• Experience in, or a strong aptitude for, training and presenting complex information clearly and effectively.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process efficiency.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with diverse clients.

• Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable with some travel to client sites.

• Relevant compliance qualifications (e.g., CISI, ICA, CII) are highly advantageous.
