Job Title: Business Development Director
Location: Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) with travel across the Middle East – Relocation packages available from the UK
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience + bonus/commission
We’re looking for a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Business Development Director to join a growing technology and change consultancy client. In this high-impact role, you’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting new business opportunities – both warm and cold – across key service areas, including digital transformation, IT consulting, and organisational change.
You’ll work closely with marketing, delivery, and leadership teams to craft compelling propositions and expand our client base across both private and public sectors.
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record in a senior business development or sales role, ideally within technology, digital transformation, or change consultancy
- Strong experience in both cold and warm lead generation, including outbound sales strategies
- Excellent understanding of technology trends, digital services, and change management solutions
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially minded with a strategic outlook and data-driven decision-making approach
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Familiarity with CRM tools and modern sales tech stacks
- Previous experience in a consultancy or agency setting would be beneficial
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Pipeline Building
- Proactively generate and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, referrals, partnerships, events, and inbound marketing efforts.
- Develop strategies for both cold outreach (targeting new markets/accounts) and warm engagement (nurturing inbound and referral-based leads).
Sales & Client Engagement
- Drive the end-to-end sales cycle: from prospecting and pitch development to negotiation and close.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored proposals and solutions that meet client needs.
- Present complex technology and change solutions in a clear and commercially compelling way to senior stakeholders.
Strategic Development
- Identify emerging market trends, client pain points, and competitive insights to help refine service offerings and go-to-market strategies.
- Contribute to the annual business development plan, targeting growth in specific sectors or geographies.
Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders across client organisations to ensure ongoing engagement and account growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, delivery, and leadership teams to align messaging, campaigns, and client onboarding.
- Report regularly on KPIs, pipeline status, win/loss analysis, and revenue forecasts.
