Job Title: Business Analyst/Project Manager
Location: Remote (travel required to Birmingham for meetings once per month)
Salary: Up to 60k depending on experience
Our global insurance client is seeking a Business Analyst with project management experience to join their growing team. Whilst your primary focus will be business analysis, you will also manage smaller projects, ensuring progress and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in business analysis, particularly in requirements gathering and process mapping within the insurance industry
- Background in IT systems, integrations and business change
- Exposure to managing smaller projects or workstreams
- Be able to translate complex business needs into clear and structured outputs, such as user stories, process diagrams)
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both business and technical teams
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or a combination of both methodologies
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools would be beneficial
- Experience in testing and user adoption activities would be beneficial
- Formal qualifications in Business Analysis (BCS, IIBA) or Project Management (Prince2, Agile PM) are a bonus
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify challenges, gather requirements, and define practical solution
- Lead workshops, interviews, and process reviews to understand the core needs
- Transform business requirements into clear and actionable workflows
- Manage smaller projects or workstreams – start to finish
- Develop and maintain high-level project plans and RAID logs, minimizing unnecessary administrative tasks
- Ensure teams remain aligned by effectively communicating priorities, risks, and progress to both technical and non-technical groups
- Assist in solution design and work closely with developers, testers, and end-users to ensure successful delivery
- Coordinate testing and user adoption activities, ensuring business users are confident with new processes or systems
- Proactively identify risks, resolve issues early, and address potential blockers before they arise
