Head of Paraplanning – Warwickshire (Hybrid)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced paraplanner to take on a leadership role within a well-regarded financial planning firm in Warwickshire. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with leadership capabilities who is committed to delivering high-quality financial planning support to both advisers and clients.
The Role:
As the leader of the paraplanning team, you will be responsible for mentoring and developing team members, ensuring the efficient delivery of suitability reports, research, and financial planning analysis. With the support of senior management, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance standards, improving operational efficiency, and driving best practices across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and mentor the paraplanning team, fostering continuous professional growth
- Oversee the production of suitability reports and financial planning analysis in line with compliance requirements
- Implement and refine processes to improve efficiency and service delivery
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards
- Work closely with financial advisers to support client recommendations and financial strategies
- Manage workload allocation within the team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
- Stay up to date with industry regulations, financial products, and best practices
- Support the development and implementation of technology solutions to enhance efficiencies
- Provide technical expertise on complex financial planning cases
- Collaborate with the admin and paraplanning teams to ensure comprehensive meeting preparation and identify opportunities within the client bank
- Drive new business cases forward to ensure an efficient and timely process
Requirements:
- Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) required; Chartered or working towards Chartered status desirable but not essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of financial planning and paraplanning processes
- Leadership experience or the ability to manage and develop a team
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work
- Ability to implement process improvements and drive efficiency within the team
