Capital Markets Senior Associate

Salary Range: $380,000 – $450,000

Location: New York

Our client’s esteemed Capital Markets Team is looking for a Senior Associate with at least 4 years of significant experience in the following areas:

• Repo, Asset-Backed Lending (ABL), Loan-on-Loan, Securitization, Structured Finance, Structured Products, Corporate, and/or Real Estate law.
• Experience with CRE CLO (Commercial Real Estate CLO) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage intricate transactions across Repo, Asset-Backed Lending, Loan-on-Loan, Securitization, and Structured Finance.
• Provide expert advice on corporate finance and structured products, with a focus on asset-backed transactions.
• Offer legal guidance on real estate finance and related structured products, particularly around innovative financing techniques.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of transaction documents, including term sheets, offering memoranda, and loan agreements.
• Work closely with senior partners and clients to develop strategies for structuring complex capital markets transactions.
• Cultivate and strengthen client relationships through proactive communication and legal counsel.
• Stay updated on evolving legal and regulatory changes impacting capital markets and structured finance.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates, providing support on transactions and legal research.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of substantial experience in Capital Markets law, including Repo, Asset-Backed Lending, Loan-on-Loan, Securitization, Structured Finance, Structured Products, Corporate, and/or Real Estate.
• Experience with CRE CLO is advantageous.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Strong law firm experience, preferably with a renowned firm or financial institution specializing in capital markets and structured finance.
• Proven track record of independently managing complex, high-profile transactions within a collaborative team environment.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and client management capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
