This role provides a unique opportunity to work directly with clients and families in need of compassionate, detail-oriented support in managing sensitive financial and welfare matters.
The Role:
As a Court of Protection Paralegal, you will assist with a caseload focused on the financial and welfare needs of clients who lack capacity to manage their own affairs. Working closely with solicitors and deputies, you will help prepare applications, support clients and their families, and provide essential administrative and legal assistance throughout each case. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in private client law and a commitment to helping vulnerable clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the management of Court of Protection cases.
- Preparing and submitting applications to the Court of Protection.
- Supporting clients and families with advice on deputyship, statutory wills, and asset management.
- Maintaining clear communication with clients, families, and external professionals.
- Ensuring all casework complies with legal standards and internal policies.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Paralegal in private client law, with a particular interest or background in Court of Protection matters. You should have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to approach sensitive cases with empathy and professionalism.
