Culture

Every Voice Heard

Team first, growth mindset and hard work: these are the behaviours we have instilled into the culture at Heat.

We always put people first, whether they be our clients, candidates or colleagues. We want to help our colleagues to become better as individuals rather than just becoming better at their jobs, because happy, well-rounded people are far more likely to succeed and to have fun while they’re doing it.
At Heat, we have worked hard to develop a values-driven culture, one that is underpinned by core behaviours that drive sustainable high performance. This means that everyone in the team works hard to raise the bar and make Heat an amazing place to work, where everyone feels motivated and supported to become the best version of themselves. Our mission is to improve people’s lives through work, and our vision is to put people at the heart of everything we do and build partnerships on trust. If you share these, then you’ve come to the right place.

Core Values

Heat is powered by brilliant people who embody our values in everything they do

Back in 2019, a group of individuals from different levels of the company started a project to decide what our values should be. They set about having discussions around what we wanted Heat to be, as well as what we didn’t want it to be. We wanted to ensure these values became embedded within the culture of Heat and could be used to inform everything about the business.

After a lot of analysing, questioning and refining, we were left with the final version. These values are regularly reviewed and looked at, and they may end up altering slightly as we grow. But, ultimately, these are the foundations of our business and anchor us in everything that we do. If these values resonate with you too, then you could be in the right place.

Wellbeing

At Heat, we recognise that you’re human, and that your wellness within work is closely linked to external factors outside of work.

While we want everyone to work hard at Heat, it’s essential that everyone feels supported and happy in their role. We have a number of initiatives to support this, such as 4 unscheduled duvet days per year, early Friday finishes, regular individual check-in calls with our onsite HR team, wellbeing training, and a 24 hour a day confidential assistance number for the use of employees as well as their families and close relatives, so you can ensure that everyone in your household is able to access the support they need, when they need it. Our management team are also given training to ensure they’re equipped with the knowledge and empathy to support their teams as well as nurture their own wellbeing.

Diversity & Inclusion

Every Voice Heard

We’re working hard to break the bias and make sure every voice in our business is heard. At Heat, everyone can come to work feeling empowered and knowing that they belong. We’re aspiring to break the mold within recruitment by building a team of diverse talent, ideas and skills that make our team the most inclusive it can be.

There’s more work to be done, but we’re fully committed to doing that work to make sure everyone has the same doors open to them, and the same opportunity to become the best version of themselves that they can be.
