Minimum Requirement:

UCD Designer – User Designer essentially want someone who can map out user journey – understand goals, persona and map journey through service and system – process flow modelling and taking inputs from stakeholders and create the user journeys. They will be working with UR and BA’S in this team and other delivery programmes – be able to negotiate and manage slightly blurred boundaries – work with a moving target – being able to self starter – not requiring hand holding – good people skills, ability to negotiate and be able to maintain focus in all of that environment – working with UR very closely pair people up. User centred design and user experience and user journey and personas. Need someone who is experienced in a relatively complex environment and system.

Work outputs:

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Trusted Research Environment (TRE) service for England. A shared analytical environment for queries, code and result sets within collaboration projects, regardless of organisational boundaries.

You will be working closely with the Service team, alongside two Business Analysts to deliver user insight and design recommendations which will shape how we deliver value to our data users and customers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Applying expertise in research design, analysis and the presentation of data to uncover unique actionable insights around trends and shifts on users’ behaviour
  • Translating user research findings into clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria and communicating to the Delivery team
  • Defining and documenting expectations, motivations and pain points for each persona so that the results can be measured through Key Performance Indicators and other business metrics
  • Creating tangible prototypes for testing with users and crafting end to end services, interpreting the results to draw detailed and impactful conclusions
  • Planning and conducting user journey workshops, gap analysis and feasibility studies to document and map existing and To-Be data and user flows
  • Balancing customer requirements against what’s technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable
  • Assisting TRE Technology Product Owner with backlog refinement and prioritisation
