The Client:

Our Client is looking to expand the Paraplanning team within a successful IFA firm by bringing an additional Level 4 Diploma Qualified Paraplanner into the office.

This position is for an experienced person that has experience within an IFA practice that is used to writing high quality, FCA compliant reports within a timely manner.

 

The Role:

Prepare suitability letters, reports and recommendations for holistic and transactional financial planning areas including pensions, investments, IHT, protection and specialist products

Prepare illustrations/proposals and undertake research to support recommendations

Undertake pension reviews and recommendations

Prepare cashflow models

Liaise with Wealth Management Support (WMS) to ensure all information/forms required to research/write a report has been requested from external providers

Provide technical support to complex client queries

Client correspondence answering complex technical queries   

Maintain paraplanning workflow spreadsheet

Observation/application of all internal compliance procedures including money laundering regulations, treating customers fairly, know your client, key FCA messages

 

What you will need:

Experience in a paraplanner role within an IFA or Wealth Management firm is essential

Experience and knowledge of investment and pension products in particular is essential

IRESS (1st Software) experience advantageous

Attained or working towards CII Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4) essential

Desire to work towards CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 6), CFP or Chartered Status desirable
