Our client is a leading Claims Management Company who are looking to add a Subsidence Specialist to their team to cover the SW region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Subsidence specialist to join an expanding subsidence team. You will be the technical point of reference to determine liability and to guide the Subsidence Team in the various tasks required in the claims process. This will involve reviewing and signing off subsidence reports and validations prior to the issue to clients. You will also be responsible for technical input in the proactive progression of claims with consideration for reserving, deadlines and customer service.
Additional responsibilities will include working closely alongside the Head of Department to ensure that the Subsidence Team is adequately resourced, trained and competent.
The ideal candidate will be based within commutable distance for a predominately office-based presence to support our current team of subsidence specialists and co-ordinators, though consideration will be given to occasional home working for the right candidate.
What will I need to be considered?
Experience of handling subsidence insurance claims from cradle to grave, including diagnosis of causes of building damage, interpretation of technical reports and specifications of repair.
Previous high-level Customer Service experience
Deep knowledge and extensive experience of the principles involved in the construction, repair and maintenance of domestic buildings is essential, within the subsidence arena.
Recognised engineering, building or construction qualifications (CEng, MRICS, MCIOB etc) – Essential
Recognised insurance qualifications – min Cert CII /CILA – highly desirable but not essential
A background in Insurance and claims handling is essential
