The Opportunity

As a Marine Hull Claims Handler, you will play a crucial role in managing a diverse portfolio of marine hull insurance claims. You will be responsible for handling claims from both retail and wholesale clients, originating from North America and various international locations. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong background in marine (hull) claims and experience with ECF and Class systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage a portfolio of marine hull claims.
  • Assess and investigate claims, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain direct communication with clients, brokers, and underwriters.
  • Negotiate settlements and work towards a fair resolution for all parties involved.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to marine hull claims.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless claims process.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

What’s needed for me to be considered?

  • Ideally, 3+ years of experience in handling Marine (Hull) Claims.
  • Proficient in ECF and Class systems.
  • Strong knowledge of marine insurance terminology, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a high caseload independently.
  • Relevant industry certifications or qualifications are a plus.
