I am lucky enough to work with a leading law firm based in London, they are looking to hire an IT Infrastructure Team Lead on a permanent basis.  This role is only open to those with a strong legal sector or Professional services background due to the nature of the business needs.

IT Infrastructure Team Lead Specification:

• You will supervise a team of senior IT specialists through day-to-day IT operations activity alongside ongoing project delivery, instilling a continuous improvement mindset with colleagues in support of the business’s ongoing digital transformation.
• You will provide technical guidance, training, coaching and mentoring to the team.
• You will be both collaborative and supportive of the team’s culture, where colleagues are encouraged to reach their full potential, and idea sharing is welcomed
• You will ensure the firm’s IT network infrastructure and systems are maintained appropriately to ensure a secure, reliable and robust platform to maximise uptime and availability.
• Ideally experience of leading a 3rd line team in a professional services organisation, with 5+ years of managing and supporting an on-premises and cloud services infrastructure.
• Expertise with Microsoft infrastructure technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, SQL and Window Server; Ideally (but not essential) holding recognised and current vendor certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix or VMware would be advantageous, as would any industry recognised certifications relevant to the role, such as ITIL, CISSP or PRINCE2.
• Ideally have experience of legal applications and systems.
• Expertise with the full range of Microsoft 365 services, as well as Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Platform as a Service (IaaS/PaaS) capabilities.
• Experience of VMWare virtualisation platform and Horizon virtual desktop infrastructure.
• SQL server maintenance and support.
• Detailed knowledge of backup and replication technologies, with Veeam and Zerto particularly desirable.
• Familiarity with security protocols and compliance standards, such as GDPR and ISO 27001, and possesses a “security first” mindset, looking at all time to maintain a robust, well protected system, configured to best practice, and excellent grasp of networking concepts and devices including network switches, firewalls, routers, wireless access points, telephony, and endpoints.
