A City based International law firm with a sterling reputation for expert knowledge and quality of work are hiring a contentious Cyber Associate into their leading Tier 1 practice.

This team have been growing steadily over the past couple of years in a sector which has seen huge expansion and will continue to become a critical part of any business moving forward.

With this role comes a great platform for promotion and the successful hire will have exposure to some of the most significant cases in the industry. This team enjoy agile working, and a competitive salary package with bonus is included.

The Opportunity:

In the firms dedicated Cyber practice they handle everything from dispute resolution related to security incidents, pre-breach advice, cyber training and advisory work, international breaches (including Article 3 of the GDPR) and regulatory enforcement work.

The successful candidate will need to be able to handle a mixed workload and demonstrate experience in such areas as pre-breach, dispute resolution, cyber training and advisory, GDPR and regulatory work.

To be considered for this position you must have strong academics, experience gained in a comparable law firm in London and a strong litigation focused background.

There will be lots of opportunities for business development and working closely with the Partners to promote the department so the firm are looking for a confident self starter with the ambition and determination to significantly contribute to the growth of the practice.

Requirements:

  • You will be an Associate or Senior Associate with 2 – 10 years PQE.
  • Must have experience at a comparable law firm in the City or West End.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Cybersecurity and Privacy law.
  • Proven track record in business development. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and demonstrate excellent relationship building skills both internally and externally
