Location: Hybrid role in Newcastle under Lyme 

Salary: £20,500pa – £25,000pa DOE

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours per day, with a 1-hour lunch, 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

As a Claims Handler with us, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of insurance claims across a diverse client portfolio.
  • Oversee all aspects of the claim process from initiation to resolution.
  • Be the primary point of contact for customers, clients, and suppliers, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping the customer’s journey through the insurance claims process.
  • Engage with clients, customers, and suppliers through various channels including email, phone, and our custom messaging service.

Additionally, as a senior member of the team, you may be entrusted with leadership responsibilities such as managing a region of surveyors or making critical decisions in triaging claims and appointing suppliers to ensure the best outcomes for customers and cost control for the insurer.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous customer service experience with a track record of preventing and resolving complaints.
  • Prior experience in the Household Insurance sector.
  • Proficiency in Buildings Insurance for Claims Handlers, Technical Modules, or equivalent qualifications gained on the job.
  • Strong IT skills encompassing Microsoft applications and proficiency in using bespoke software.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
