Recruiter Managing This Role

Leading law firm that works with both private and public primary care providers has an opportunity for a qualified solicitor to join their team as an associate.

This role will involve

  • Preparation and review and negotiation of Partnership documentation for medical and dental practitioners.
  • Providing general partnership advice.
  • Working on partnership mergers.
  • Advice and documentation of partnership retirements whether voluntary or compulsory.
  • NHS Contract advice.
  • Advising primary care networks.

Key Duties

  • Work with Partners and other senior members of the wider primary care team on complex matters.
  • Work on your own matters where appropriate.
  • Drafting, reviewing, advising on and negotiating contracts of a nature listed above.
  • Develop internal relationships as a starting point.
  • Assist with business development initiatives.
  • Manage matters in accordance with client service level agreements.
  • Achieve financial and chargeable time targets.
  • Complete client management information as and when required.

Skills and experience required

  • Experience of working on commercial contracts at 3 to 5+PQE level.
  • Experience in primary care.
  • Knowledge of NHS primary care service contracts.
  • Knowledge of NHS primary care funding.
  • Willingness to learn new areas – including some of technology, data and public procurement.
  • Communication and listening skills.
  • Good drafting skills with attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Conscientious, self-motivated, hard-working, and responsive.
  • Critical thinking abilities and excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Willingness and ability to support junior team members.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and client protocols while maintaining high standards.
