Area Sales Manager – North – Role Summary
The Area Sales Manager position is a pivotal role within our client’s organisation, focusing on the Scotland territory. The incumbent will play a key role in expanding the existing customer base through proactive new business development efforts with both distributors and end users.

Our valued client operates within the tools sector, with a global presence and a diverse product range catering to professional mechanics, industrial maintenance, automotive repairs, and hobbyists. They are committed to innovation and excellence, offering a comprehensive selection of products and solutions.

As the Area Sales Manager, you will oversee the dynamic and densely populated sales territory of  Scotland. With a diverse industrial and commercial landscape, the role presents ample opportunities for future growth. Leveraging an established network of distributors, you will drive sales growth by engaging in thorough business development activities. This entails collaborating with various commercial teams within customer organizations, particularly focusing on medium to large end user accounts. You will have the full backing of our client, ensuring access to a comprehensive range of professional hand tool products and solutions. This role involves close collaboration with the UK Sales Manager and our customer service team. While primarily home-based, occasional travel within the UK and Europe is required. This position is full-time and permanent.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant sales experience, accompanied by the following core competencies:

  • Preferred industry or related product market experience, although not mandatory
  • Proficiency in sales, negotiation, communication, and new business development
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, coupled with self-discipline
  • Possession of a full UK driving license, given the travel requirements of the role.

This role offers a competitive salary of CIRCA £40,000 to £43, 000  per annum, inclusive of a fully expensed company car, IT equipment, pension, and benefits package – and an OTE of an additional 10, 000k.
